to write The Brand New Teacher in 2004 for early
grade teachers. Although they had two offers to
publish the book, the timing was all wrong. The
publishers wanted a manuscript immediately and
Carol had only completed three chapters, so the
offers went the way of the wind. Joe bought Dan
Poynter’s book, The Self Publishing Manual, read it from
cover to cover, and decided he could do this. He published
her book in 2006, himself. It is distributed nationwide and
they get checks, on the average, each month. Since that time,
Joe has attended PMA-U to learn more about marketing and
publishing. Today he owns Vested Publishing and I am currently
working on three books for clients. My greatest lesson
while publishing Carol’s book, is that you don’t have to know
it all — just take things one step at a time.

Adonis Publishing and Marketing’s goal is to publish good books that were not given a chance for reasons such as the writer is a first time author or simply does not know the right people to break into the business. Adonis Publishing sees through classic book proposal mistakes and small errors to what the manuscripts true intention say. We want to hear from the real person! That could be you!

Let the professionals at Adonis Publishing do the work for you! After you complete a questionnaire about your book, our publicists will use your answers to create intriguing press materials and distribute them over three major wire services (PR.com, PRLog.com and PressMethod.com) to gain maximum exposure for you and your book.
Your press materials will include:
Hook. The hook is the unique selling point that separates your book from its competitors. Think of the hook as a 30-second summary that piques the media's interest.
Cover Letter. The cover-letter template is a one-page letter that you customize with the contact's name and information. It should be used in conjunction with the press release when pitching the media via fax, mail, or e-mail.
Press Release. The press release is a one-page summary of the book. It provides the media with more information regarding why they should write an article about your book or why they should have you as a guest on their program.
Regardless of your publishing goals, the editorial quality of your work matters—no one wants to read a book that's riddled with typos and grammatical errors. However, even the best writers make occasional mistakes. Adonis Publishing provides editorial services that will help you make your book the best it can be.
If you feel comfortable with the idea of writing down your ideas or memories, you will still want to have someone help you polish your manuscript. This is where an editor comes in. According to the Editors Association of Canada (EAC), there are several different types of editing, including the following jobs that may be of interest to publishers:
Substantive/ structural editing (clarifying or reorganizing a manuscript for content and structure)
Stylistic editing (clarifying meaning, eliminating jargon, polishing language, and other non-mechanical line-by-line editing)
Copy editing (editing for grammar, usage, spelling, punctuation, and other mechanics of style; checking for consistency; placing artwork; editing tables, figures, and list)
Fact checking (checking accuracy of facts and quotes by referring to original sources used by the author or to other reference sources)
Proofreading (checking proofs of formatted, edited material for errors in design and for minor mechanical errors in copy, such as spelling mistakes or small deviations for style sheet)
(This information is taken form the EAC Standard Freelance Editorial Agreement)
At Adonis Publishing we have a vast team of professional Literary Editors that can work with you to fit all you publishing needs. Choosing a professional literary editor or designer, is fundamental in preparing your manuscript for publication.
